When the first shoot comes up, you don’t weed it out because it doesn’t look like your idea of a flowing gum tree. You smile and keep watering and weeding. Then one day you find yourself sitting under your gum tree looking up at thousands of beautiful flowers that have grown like magic from one little seed.
